The dramatic story about Capenaum. How that little fishing town was once a nice town, hosting one of the most famous people in the world, then getting cursed by the same person and see the result of that now; only ruins left!
No other country in the world has any history comparable as that of the lands of Israel, none! It makes this lands, where “rivers of blood streamed through its fields, hundreds of thousands wept, loss of lives was indescribable”, an unique place, where conflict ruled for thousands of years, over and over again, never ending. In all of its history, all invading civilizations left something behind in Israel and when you look now, you see those civilizations still exist, living within the peoples and in this amazing, unique country.
The Dome of the Ascension stands in a walled compound east of the main road that runs on the top of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. The location is just north of the Church of Pater Noster — which is built over a cave that the first Christians used as a more secluded place to commemorate the Ascension. This sight is a bit problematic, because the sight is claimed by the Muslims and Christians alike. So they need to share the Holy Site, and they do.
We as Shalom Israel, offer to arrange for those interested to be baptized in the Jordan river, at the spot where Jesus was baptized. But this is not a simple event. At the moment the group will arrive at Israel and we will pick them up from the airport, the interested people will be prepared for the baptizing event. They will talk to priests (who are aware of the intention), they will talk to those with the same spiritual experience in Israel. The priests who are performing the Holy Mass in the many churches will be aware too.
